Well, the end of RAW last week cost Bryan Danielson his job. He was released due to choking Justin Roberts with his tie, and corporate thought that was "too violent." The WWE universe page already has over 800 replies to a thread based on this within the last 24 hours.

And apparently, it's not fake, this actually happened.

yea, WWE is ultra sensitive to anything involving choking someone using an implement such as a tie, rope, or belt ever since benoit went insane and hung him self and his family, at least thats what ive heard and read.

And yet Cena was able to to choke Orton with the chain from a pair of handcuffs to win a match. Danielson is no doubt the #1 free agent on the market with all eyes on him and for them to fire him is by far one of the most foolish mistakes they've made in years. I no longer care about the season 1 NXT rookies angle if he isn't going to be a part of it.

And while on the subject of John Cena: I have been back and forth on my opinions of him a lot and while I have nothing against the guy as a performer or even as a company man I hate how there is always going to be a double standard when it comes to him. Like when CM Punk ended up in the dog house and dropped his title to Taker in a curtain jerker last year because "he didn't dress like a world champion" and his response was "well what about Cena?". Its one thing to receive favoritism because you're the face of the product. Its another thing to get away with things that have caused others to lose a big push or their jobs.

I guess what kills me is that what happen on RAW was "too violent".

It's FUCKING WRESTLING!!!!!!

Good god, how is that any different from any attack from behind?! How is it different from Sheamus beating the crap out HHH and putting him on the shelf?! How is it different from Edge hitting Randy Orton with a chair on his LEGIT injured shoulder?! How's it different from Cena throwing Batista through the stage, even though it was a "I Quit" match, Batista said "I Quit", and Cena still did it?! How it different from all the stuff that's been happening between Bryan and Michael Cole?! How's it different from the multiple chair shots Bret Hart gave McMahon at WrestleMania? How's it different from Money In the Bank?! Mind you, this has all been happening under the "PG" rating.

I'm sorry, I don't care how many kids watch, PG ratings have no business in wrestling. I don't care if kids emulate what they see on TV. I did the same thing, and yeah I got hurt, but that's growing up. You learn eventually. Bryan got the short end.

Attacks from behind: that's fine
Hitting people where it hurts: Fine.
Attacks after the match because it's "justifiable": fine
Hit the commentator: fine
Hit your opponent with a chair till he's immobile: fine
Jump off ladders onto other people: fine
Choke a ring announcer with his own tie: FUCK THAT, YOU'RE FIRED!

He lost a match at the ppv with the stipulation of him losing means he joins the nexus. If he won it was going to be disbanded.

Jesus christ, when did the Hitman return? That guy was my hero as a kid. Too bad the crowd doesn't seem to recognize what a legend he is.

I love that guy, still got my autographed Hitman shades on my shelf. My girlfriend gets pissed when we are playing around and a slap on the sharpshooter.

Amazing how much better they used to be at backstage promos back then. I liked The Rock a lot, but unfortunately, that's when they started to really stress the live in-ring promos instead of live (or taped) backstage stuff. Seeing the work of Macho, Flair, or especially Jake "The Snake" Roberts always leaves me in awe.
