Is summer for movies over after Dark Knight? Are there any other movies you are looking forward to?

As far as action/dramas...DK was it. But it looks like two comedies are on the horizon: Tropic Thunder and Pineapple Express.

What about the rest of you? Is there life after Dark Knight?

Let me rephrase: What movies are after Dark Knight?

Though I'll allow yours because Fallout 3 is going to rock!

But for the rest of you. Are there any other big movies on the horizon that you are looking forward to?

I was almost afraid to come into this thread in case there was Dark Knight spoilers :-(

Well Hellboy 2 hasn't been released here yet so I'll be seeing that, also I'll probably see The X Files (even though I've never watched the show, I need to get round to that). I suppose I'll go see The Mummy Tomb of the Dragon Emperor, I loved the first 2 but to be honest this one looks AWFUL

I have a mild interest in X-Files but I haven't decided if I'll check it out in theaters. I'd have to see some good reviews to tip the scale on that one. Same scenario on Tropic Thunder, but I almost never see comedies in theaters. It may be worth it just to see Robert Downey Jr's performance, but again, nothing has tipped the scale yet.

I'm already gearing up for next year. Watchmen looks very, very promising.

I have to see Harry Potter 6. Like i said before,
Quote:
I dont give a shit about Harry's problems with Moldy-butt, all I care is Evanna and Luna! ♥

Seriously, I am so hyped about this movie, for one reason, I just wanna see Evanna on the authentic big screen, not on DVD.

Other than that, the X-files looks kinda interesting

Great question Beeslo, I was wondering the same thing. Everything looks so utterly dumb in comparison. The new Mummy movie for example... i mean, sure, it's neat that they changed the setting to China and Jet Li plays the Mummy, but when I heard the line "You're like some kind of mummy magnet!" in the trailer, I rolled my eyes. Give me an effin' break... I still haven't seen Hellboy 2, so I might check that out. I actually kind of want to see Meet Dave - the concept is neat, even though I don't care for Eddie Murphy. The movie was written by Bill Corbett, who voiced Crow in the Sci-Fi era of Mystery Science Theater. Really, Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, and The Dark Knight were the only movies I was looking forward to this summer.

I'm interested in the coming Max Payne movie, not yet sure what to make of it. Also Babylon A.D. looks like it could be something.

I agree. The concept sounds interesting...but from what I understand its utter horse crap...so much that Murphy didn't even bother showing up for its premiere. :-o

There will never be a movie as good as Dark Knight. You may as well stop watching while you're ahead.

Ugh, that's a fucking shame.... it's such a neat idea and from a really funny writer. I guess I knew it was doomed when Eddie Murphy was casted and the name changed from "Starship Dave" (which I liked better) to "Meet Dave". <_<

I'm probably gonna get flack for this but I want to see "Step-Brothers". Call it stupid or make fun of my sense of humor all you want, but I like Will Farell.

Pineapple Express looks hilarious too though.
