seriously i can't get enough of this show. its well written and well thought out. its a childhood classic for me. i realized i seen this show back in the 90's when i was about 6 episodes deep.

Best episode is when he leaps into his younger self and then plays John Lennon to his sister to convince her he's from the future.

xbox live only has one season. thats where i got it. i need to get my hands on season 2.
also more reason to stay up and raid the video store today so i CAN pick up the entire series

They had a lot of really good episodes. What about the one where Sam and Al switch places? Or that Sam leaps into a monkey? Or any of the episodes with the evil leapers who have put wrong what once was right in order to leap? Or the episode where he teams up with Stephen King to fight Satan?

There have been on and off talks about doing a sequel series which follows Sam's daughter, so you would have a female protagonist and be able to leap to more recent events. She is aided by Al in the search for Sam (who goes missing in the final episode) so you already have a pretty good story arc ready to go out the gate. I imagine Sam would be a regular guest star or join the cast in a supporting role down the road. How has this not happened yet?

Really great acting from the girl. That long shot where she comes to realize he is from the future is very well done.

I had also heard that there have been talks of a Quantum Leap movie which would also be excellent.

They have all 5 seasons but a handful of episodes say disc only. Not sure why that is, but I know they ran into some problems with licensed music. Like for example Al and his wife's song was Georgia on my Mind, but after Ray became a huge hit they wanted a lot more money for use of the song so they were forced to change it to some generic placeholder music for the dvd.

Still you can see about 95% of the episodes on instant watch.



Well there was Source Code which very much took a page from Quantum Leap. Unsure if Quantum Leap would work as a big budget film, it was always about characters and small scale conflicts and not using time travel to stop terrorists or anything.

What would likely happen is that they would do a TV movie or mini series to act as the pilot and if that goes well jump start a new series.

Yeah, I can't even remember where I heard/read about it. I know it was some Scott Bakula interview thing where he said the idea had been tossed around, recently if I remember correctly.

Either way, Quantum Leap is the bomb.
