I wouldn't be surprised if some of you are fans of the A Song of Ice and Fire series. I'm currently halfway through the second book, and damn is it good. I haven't been this gripped by a story in a long time and its a shame I waited so long to pick them up.

That aside, who else is looking forward to the series premiering on HBO April 17?

Just waiting for the next book to come out... hoping that the show won't suck.

Also I saw no wolves in the trailer so i'm hoping they didn't cut them. Don't know how that would work though seeing how Arya's and Brann's stories are so strongly tied to them.

D'awwwwwww!

Looks like they're using Alaskan Malamutes as the wolves. I am an expert on this subject as my parents have one. Although they should be bigger seeing how they're direwolves but whatever i'm not complaining.

Lady was still a pup in that second pic...only a few months old. They'll still be huge.

They nailed Tyrion's casting. At fist I thought that that little dude from Twin Peaks and Carnivale would make a great Tyrion but I think he's a bit too old. My second pick was the guy that they did end up casting, I loved him in Station Agent and I think he'll do a hell of a job with this character. Propably my favourite of all the characters.

I'm pretty excited about this just because I'm not a big reader and I always hear wonderful things.

Spoiler
Boromir is always getting the axe in all of his movies. Harrison Ford killed his ass, James Bond killed his ass, random chick with a shotgun killed his ass, Orc killed his ass, Joffrey killed his ass. What's the worst part about it? I should know better, but the guy is such a great actor that each time he dies it's shocking.

I really enjoyed the season, but I'll miss ol' Ned. Hell, I'll miss the Kahl guy as well. The guy was a freak (The golden crown scene was awesome.)

At least Tyrion Lannister is still alive. I love that guy.

Massive spoilers. Hopefully everyone has kept up with the series. I've not read the books and have enjoyed each twist and turn. I could go without seeing so much man-meat. Especially the large retarded guy.

Sorry, I'm resurrecting this thread from the dead. I've been wanting to watch Game of Thrones for a long time now but never had the time and my girlfriend was very meh about the show.

Well this weekend we plowed through all of season 1 and we are completely addicted. I think this is now my favorite show on tv. Going to try and caught up on season 2 in the next day or two and I can start talking about it!
