I have been purchasing around and have come across one very reliable ebayer whom sells the Saturn usb pads. Basically I believe they are still bootlegs but seem to have the same standard in build and feel as the 2004 originals (different bootleggers maybe). They only sell it in the grey color but trust me its plays well and feels great, especially for fighters on mame, or sf4 on ps3. Plus you can use it for a mammoth of emulators.
heres a pic.

Just for reference here's what I use to compare the feel and quality of the bootlegs against. Yes there is an original 2004 usb I own which are still a little different from the saturn console pads, but still rock in its own way. heres a pic of some of them:

The seller is litianedup_wifi and I bought another 3 of them cus i was so impressed. I aslo found that this seller is recommended on many occasions for this pad on SRK forums. http://cgi.ebay.com/HOT-3-x-NEW-Gray-US ... 4988wt_941

Hope this information helps.

:nosepick: I had just pay for the white pad in Ebay when I found this forum :brood: , i really have many espectativas of being able to feel that quality again :snooty: … don't you sell the 004 pure white pad right?
Regards and almost merry Xmas!!

Merry xmas to you too, and Welcome to the forums :-) .

No I dont sell my pads, I collect them. I have altogether 19 pads now. mostly new ones. Some times you can find people selling the original Pure white pads on ebay, though there value is very high now, like 90-110 dollars depending on its condition. Though they are very rare to come across.

I stumbled across this thread and thought I would show you my Saturn pads. I collect controllers because it is a lot easier than collecting the systems and games since that would take up so much space and you can't play a game without a good controller, right? Anyway, as far as Saturn goes, I have 22 unopened licensed pads which date from around 1998. I also have two of the white usb pads (official) that I picked up from playasia back in the day. As you can see from the pics, I have a ton others too :-D

My favorite is the gold hori commander below; it's pretty flipping rare.

Well, the pics are kind of old. The stick on the right with the nasty blue button combination has been replaced with all white along with the joystiq top and the red stick had its start/select buttons replaced also in red. The buttons are your standard sanwa and the stick is semitsu.

I'm probably going to pawn some of the saturn pads stuff on ebay (not quite sure yet) because I pre-ordered four of the new Hori Fighting Commander 3 pads (http://nfgworld.com/mb/thread/783) which look completely amazing. If they turn out to be pretty good then I don't really think I could ever use 50 pads (snes and saturn combined) :-D

By the way, I got all of my SFC pads here http://www.japangamestock.com/videogames.php?cPath=66&sort=2a&page=3. They are used but only $7 each and the dude does an amazing job cleaning them up. They are basically mint when you get them. You can also find some white saturn pads and other cool stuff there. Best place to buy this kind of stuff if you don't live in japan.

Well to be honest as much as you think its ridiculous to have so many saturn pads, I would hold on to them if I was you. We all have our fave pads but the Saturn pad is Generally regarded as the greatest digital pad ever made. Keep them cus they might shoot up in value someday. Unless u need the money of course. :-)

I like SFC pads too, but being from europe ours were the exact same coloring. I never liked the US SNES unit and pads, looked horrific.

Nice setup on the sticks, I have a pair of LS32s laying about, but my current stick usses a pair of Sanwa JFLs and OBSF-30RG buttons. here's a bad quality pic lol.

That is a nice stick. Pretty expensive. Have you seen the new upcoming Hori stick? It look to be a take off of that: http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-zl-77-i-49-en-15-hori-70-3py1.html

The new hori is a take off from taitos vewlix cabinet, Looks nice, but Ive always preferred the classic Astro city chassis, Hence my stick and most previous hori sticks have taken influence on the Astro citys bezel. In actual fact it was the astro city cabinet which set the standard for japanese button placements etc. both Sanwa and seimitsu still sell astro city panels.

My plan is to buy another of my sticks and mod it using this panel for personal use : http://www.akihabarashop.jp/catalog/AstroCity1L6B.jpg

1) Please, tell me, how many did cost the item?
2) And also, how many controller pads were inside?
(name of the item - HOT-3-x-NEW-Gray-... tells me that there are THREE controller pads inside the item,
but I would like to check twice before buying)

Here is a video about how to fix the buttons on SEGA USB controllers!

Out of the box, the buttons on bootleg controllers are not working properly.
Many people come to conclusion that they are broken and throw them away -
while they could be easily fixed and become just as good as the official ones!
