has anyone tried the ToV demo? and uh, does anyone actually like it? because from what i could tell it was pretty much garbage.

The Tales of series is my favorite RPG series and the Demo was great. My most anticipated game this August.

are you kidding me? i played that demo and it was pretty bad. it was like where's everything else to make this game good? don't get me wrong here as the tales of games are pretty good for the most part but this demo wasn't that great. was the battle AI broken or something?

The final product better be a hell of a lot better then this demo was otherwise it will be very disappointing.

It was a demo STILL in production and all. Just wait until the game comes out on August 26th.

I loved the Demo because the battle system was fun (I do agree, the AI was quite...crap), the characters are awesome, the graphics are INCREDIBLE.

If This video doesn't convince you then nothing will.

everything was wrong with the demo. the only good points i found was that a dog who smokes a pipe was in my party and the color pallete was pleasing.

Didn't the game come out in Japan not long after the demo? I dunno if, from what I hear, the game could have changed all of that around before it came out.

The demo came out in the states first THEN the game came out in Japan (FAMITSU gave it 35/40, selling 80 000 copies on the first day). The demo even came out in Japan about a month or two before the Japanese release of the game. The demo had both Japanese and english voices/subtitles.

I downloaded the demo when it was released in Japan (Japanese XBL account I made). It was all in English because my 360 was US Region.

Therefore the US demo is exactly the same as the JPN demo. I honestly can't see why you guys didn't like it. But, whatever.

Heh heh, I didn't even know there was a demo. Looks like I know what I'll be doing when I get home from work.

I've been dying for some RPG's on the 360, so I was planning on buying this, but I've never played a "Tales of" game, so this would be my first foray into it. But now that I'm hearing that the demo doesn't show much promise I'm having doubts.

I'll Gamefly it and see what I think when the full product comes out next week.

i don't see whats legit about it. all it basically described what realtime combat is and the characters, along side with a bunch of kickass spells and how the game looks in HD. have you played any other tales game?

my favorite part about this article was the character bios. don't get me wrong here though almost any game has a character bio and its basically general. all games have it especially JRPGS.

Yup. I own ALL games of the original main series (Except Legendia, but I've played and beat it). I own Phantasia, Destiny (Well used too, It was unplayable), Destiny Remake, Destiny 2, Eternia, Symphonia, Symphonia PS2 Rebirth, Abyss (Both English and Japanese), Phantasia PSP, Eternia PSP, etc.

Each game has their own unique style of battle systems and challenge.

and btw, my article was a review of the demo, not the entire game based on the demo. i said "the full game will suck ass" because it was already out in japan i.e. it's had no time to change a very large amount. and fuck, what did i NOT cover? i mean seriously, i typed up 1200 words about a DEMO. i could have just said "it's slow and boring and sucks". so i'm gonna have to call bullshit and say you definitely ARE being a fanboy.
