Yes it is, and so is calling someone "fat and gay" and it really belittles any valid argument you may have had. If you two really insist on fighting with each other then take it elsewhere because quite frankly I'm sick of seeing this pointless bickering in every thread you both post in. Actually you can add him to your foes list and his posts will pretty much be blocked out. Or you can choose to ignore him, which when it boils down to it is really the only thing you have any control over.

Hopefully the current version will disperse soon. I've heard so many twists and turns with these guys already, at least they aren't shutting down credit card sites like the last version did.

I don't care what the reason is. Their little childish antics are annoying and fruitless. All they are doing is being a pain in the ass when i want to access the PSN. The entire affair is just stupid, but Anon being the self-proclaimed saviors and genius they are in turn come out to be wore than their targets in terms of morality. Grow up

If Sony would just release a goddamn linux patch they could pretty much kill any argument Hotz, anonymous or any of the other hackers have.

There's a class action law suit being started in California currently because of this. Sony claims that they removed the Other OS feature for security reasons ... however, it appears with some digging that it's purely financial ones. (meaning they're violating some agreements between them and consumers.)

Which turns more into a situation of, they just didn't want you to use it anymore, which is, even in the US, not an OK thing for them to do in relation to consumer protection. The only issue is, so many companies get away with it so often in the US it's just ridiculous. We do have consumer safety and protection laws, but these companies have mammoth legal teams to wiggle out of it.

I'm pretty confused with this entire situation, to be honest. All I know is that I can't get on PSN, and some Anonymous guy is behind it.

I'm pretty sure it's a voluntary shut down by Sony while they re-write parts of the PSN. Apparently, some people used a custom firmware to get into a dev. like mode, and were able to add imaginary money to their PSN wallet.
