Not much. The only games that ever sold exceedingly well were Mario Galaxy, Zelda, Metroid, and Brawl. And even if the Wii did not exist, those games would be on the GC or whatever Wii had at the time.

The Wiimote sucks , any real(as in plays games more than others) gamers do not really use it and only use the GC controller if possible. The Wii makes most of its money on accessories. The other two, yes the PS3 too even though at the moment its selection is a little low, make it off games.

It would have little change. Microsoft and Sony were already getting into the motion gig. The Wii just came out sooner, though the sensors sucked on it

It was fun at first, but if Nintendo had remembered that they have a hardcore fanbase to please, we'd have the Revolution like we were supposed to. Or Nintendo would be broke.

OMG The wii sucks, and it has no third party support and all good third party games suck cause they shouldn't be on the Wii they should be on the 360 or PS3, also Fighting Games and jRPGs are the only genres worth playing and only casual non hardcores play Wii and it sucks....Wiimote motion control has no practical use and we should all play with normal controllers until natal comes out because it will be intense and it will take fighting games and super deep cRPGs like oblivion to the next level....waggle.

What about the old people and the children? Who's gonna take all their money if not Nintendo?

I'm a bit confused. Would Nintendo have released a different console this generation, with better graphics and a standard controller? Or would they just have not released a console this generation? The latter wouldn't have happened, so...
Honestly, I think the gaming industry would be worse without the Wii, I think the potential of the WiiMote is starting come through with WiiMotion Plus. Tiger Woods 2010 used it amazingly, and every other golf game's controls feel bad compared to it. I think that third parties are figuring out how to use the motion sensing, and now Microsoft and Sony are jumping on the motion controls bandwagon. Innovation is good, even if you don't like it. If Nintendo decides the motion controls didn't work out, then the industry knows that motion controls aren't the way of the future. You have to experiment to find the right formula for a game system.
Also, if the Wii didn't exist, I would have an Xbox 360, and I would be different as a gamer. Hmmm.

I like the wii. Its got some cool games,,, but then again most of them were released a while back... in the last year i havent seen anything that catches my eyer. Maybe mario galaxy 2.

Without the wii the industry would be more recycling of game culture. The Wii keeps it fresh. Though the whole sensor poo bar is over rated in my opinion.. i just wanna lay on the sofa and relax with a controller.. not swing it around and get weird strains.

if the wii didn't exist, project natal would've never existed...besides, no matter how much we bitch about how sucky the wii is, Nintendo in a business sense is still the number one company in the world remember that business week article? http://www.gamespot.com/news/6232017.html?tag=latestheadlines;title; they kept it fresh and in a way exploited an audience the other 2 companies left out, the casuals. you got to take it in a sense that no matter how hardcore a gamer you are, you're still a minority in the market.

If the Wii didn't exist, Sony and Microsoft wouldn't be trying to get a piece of that casual gaming pie with this whole motion sensor/ control stuff.

Rune Factory Frontier
New Super Mario Bros.
Muramasa: The Demon Blade
Wii Sports Resort
Maybe the newest Mario Party.

I'd be asking for a PSP, but with the 3000 and the Go out in the market at the same time, I will probably wait to see which one dies first. I don't want to choose wrong and have to buy the other if I can help it.

i guess thoughts on the wii depend on your taste if you like to be active the wiis for you most of the time anyways i personally like the wii (i wish there was a game-pentagon) its got some nice games a nice varitey but i do also like the xbox360 for when i want to sit down and game. Plus like somebody said up there if the wii wasn't doing well 360 wouldn't be trying to cash in on the whole motion sensor based games

hopefully next generation they release a classic gaming console.... they can still continue the wii games for the babies and old people.
