Well Activision seems to have leaked what could've been a pretty cool E3 surprise. nice one guys

though personally the fact there using Daniel Craigs bond really puts me off, I dont want a remake, Id much rather have the original ported to virtual console and xbox live and psn. its cool that its being done at least but multiplayer wont be that successful on the Wii as much if it were also on live and psn.
i doubt ill be picking this up when its released

I think this will be pretty good, the Daniel Craig decision is kinda iffy, but other then that, all the original levels, 4 player split screen , adding online multiplayer, and the possibility of the first truely GREAT FPS on the wii, sign me up.

and as for everyone bitching about it not being on 360 etc etc, it makes PERFECT sense it is a nintendo exclusive, kind of like the game it is being remade from, after all

now if only they would remake the original turok dinosaur hunter on the wii with updated graphics, online multipayer ,and wii mote support

Guarantee they fuck it up.. But God I hope they don't. Sounds awesome though.

There are only two problems I have with this:

1. It's a remake for the sake of cash-in
2. It wasn't Activision's game to begin with

Having Daniel Craig isn't a big deal. Even if Rare still had the Bond license, it is highly unlikely they would be able to secure Brosnan's likeness for the main character.

It's going to kick ass.
Noone will buy it.
People will still bitch that there's no good and/or hardcore games on Wii.

I love the system but all anyone does is piss and moan about how there's no games to play, but, when one comes along everyone ignores it.

I hope it turns out well.

Goldeneye would have been a much better game on any other console than the N64 anyway. I like to play my games with a controller, not the Starship Enterprise. I think I'm the only one who thinks a remake could only improve on the original, but I also thought that Rare stopped making awesome games with the SNES (I maintain, however, that if they make another Battletoads, all is forgiven). As someone who thinks Craig is a better Bond than Brosnan and that Quantum of Solace was a better game than Goldeneye...I can give this a shot.

Even if they remake the game they will still cash in on the fame of the original by releasing it to PSN/VC/XBA..

Even if it is good you know people will say "I get it when it comes to the 360".

I honestly look at this much the same way I looked at Perfect Dark, and on another level, the Street Fighter II updates.

Let me start by saying that I loved Goldeneye, and almost purely for the multiplayer, although I enjoyed some of the insanely tough (but NOT NECESSARY TO PROGRESS) unlockables in single player. It had its problems, too, but overall it was a good time. Now, this all goes to my next set of rules for any given game:

1. Make the game.
2. Multiply that by 1, and that's more or less the number of versions I want to play, with very few (s)exceptions.

I understand the bitching about hardcore people bitching about nothing new, then ignoring something like this, but all it will really do is make me get out the N64 "classic" and play it with people again.
