Really? No one is talking about this? I'm so excited this comes out in Europe on Friday. I'd kill for the Japanese boxart:

But I'm happy to settle with the US one. Unfortunetly, I get the suspicion Nintendo Europe is going to fuck us in the ass again and give us a shoddy piece of crap with 3 discs sticky taped too it.

Still, Metroid Prime 1 with Wii controls? Fuck yeah.

I have never played a Metriod Prime game for whatever reason and I just bought this. I am enjoying it so far. One thing that I'm noticing is that the Japanese version has 3 disks and the US version has all the games on 1 disk.

I'm not very fond of the dark tone given to the cover (or the series) but the set of games is a good deal. I started playing MP2 and I only have MP3 to buy. I may end up getting this instead. We'll see... I'm not buying either anytime soon anyways. School has officially begun!

Yeah, I never bought MP3 and I never finished MP2, so I figured this is a good enough place to start.

Question though... is the Fusion Suit available in the original Metroid as some bonus feature or is it entirely removed?

My thoughts on bundles like these are that it's a cool thing for people who are interested in the series but has yet to play any of the games yet, but for people who already own the games, it's just silly to get again, especially if there are no major differences. Sure the control scheme may be different, but that's really not enough to go through the first two games in my opinion.

I disagree. I'd love to go through Metroid Prime 1 & 2 again with Wii controls, but I guess that's just me.

Well, the game itself isn't very different, but even if you haven't bought MP3, it's worth buying.

Control Schemes change the entire game. Take Resident Evil 4 for example. Many people say the Wii version is the definitive version of the game, despite it being out for the GCN and PS2 way before the Wii ever existed.

I would totally buy this if I didn't already own them originally at launch price. So I already spent $150 bucks on the Prime series. I can't justify myself spending more just on the same games, even if the controls are fucking awesome (and I'm sure they are) :-( .

If I didn't already have the third one I'd most likely go for it, but as it is, I'm gonna have to semi-reluctantly pass.

Honestly, 16:9 is a good enough reason for me. The new control scheme is icing on the cake, and it'll change the entire way the games are played. (Also, these versions have been graphically enhanced in many places)

If anything, buy it on the cheap used a year or two from now.

Yeah, I'm going to be picking this up eventually. I never beat the first and second Prime games, and not even the third. I played it, but never got through all of it.

This is a good deal, I saw the collector's edition at Target and I hope that the collector's edition is not limited, cause I want it!

I concur my thoughts may have been flawed. :mmm:

But yes, if you don't have MP3, it would probably be worth your money more to get the Trilogy rather than MP3 alone.

Is this just a box with all three Prime games?
Off topic: That just sounded wrong...

It's all 3 games, redone with Wii controls.
