I know, inevitably, that I will purchase this just like all the other content.

I do not, however, really dig this character.

Anybody who's played it, chime in for me please and give me a heads up.

Imma go rock some Darkspawn Chronicles.

Console patch isn't fixing the storyline related glitches. Fuckers. :[

Once again, not that I'm all "woohoo piracy" but this is one of those situations where I think I'll have to find a PC version somewhere/someway that I won't have to pay cash moneys for.

So had a day off today and I thought to myself , "I haven't played dragon age in ages, there's all this new dlc and I really enjoyed it first time round. You know what I'll play it again"

I've never had any problems with glitches or anything and found the game great fun ...

Today is a different story

Because of the latest software update I can't load a game or start a new game without my console freezing. I have tried redownloading and clearing cache and everything and nothing will let me play dragon age.

So effectively I have just bought all this dlc that I can't use on a game I can't play and it's all because some mother-f**king idiots can't be bothered releasing patches that don't frak the original game.

So bravo Bioware, bravo EA, your all a bunch of inept, greedy, incapable fuckwits who can ruin things just by standing next to them.

Bravo

I warned everyone about this months ago. :o

True but as I hadn't had any issues at all with the game before this I had hoped I'd be lucky and not get any issues at all ...

So much for hopes ..

I just started playing this game last week. I can tell it's going to eat up the rest of my gaming for the summer...

The Golems of Amgarrak

I've beaten Leliana's Song and all the others, and now this.

Before I lose my resolve and buy this, probably tomorrow, anybody else already check it out?

If only we had some kind of blog in which we could vent our grievences and hopefully let games developers understand our frustrations. A touching place where we could go to heal our software blues.

So I know Dragon Age isn't very good on the console but I want to know honestly, is it at all tolerable? I won't bother myself with any online DLC or stuff and I am very tolerant when it comes to games that kind of suck, so is there any chance of me actually kind of enjoying it or would I be wasting my time?

The console versions have NOTHING to do with sucking. They're great games. The reason they suck is that they're FULL of glitches, and until they FINALLY release this damn patch for 360 that's been a year in the making, there is a chance your data can become fully corrupted and unrecoverable, thus nullifying all your hours of gameplay, etc.

In short, avoid the console versions at all costs unless you feel like a lucky person. Even then, there are tons of storyline related fuck ups in the game that make it irksome. If you can even attempt to play the PC version I suggest you do so instead.

I've still not experienced any problems with Dragon Age on my 360, aside from retarded AI.

Although I loaded up Fallout 3 the other day and it refused to load my Steelworks save in the Pit (I have all the DLC) and deleted my save file. WTF is up with that?

Chances are you have experienced some problems, but the only noticeable one is save corruption. Everything else is stuff you wouldn't realize because it involves things not working properly, and since you don't know how they're supposed to work, you'd never know. :)

There's a lot of "ending of the game glitches" as well as a lot of stat and number glitches, such as for rogues Dexterity doesn't do the math properly in it's stat equation, thus making Strength a better stat than Dex for rogues at the moment.

I'm still going to rag on this game until I see some non alpha gameplay trailers. And even then I'll probably still hate it.

I don't have a computer good enough to run it and I probably won't for a little while so I have decided I will be getting dragon age for the 360. I know it won't be as good as the PC and I'm sure it does have some problems but I'm sure I can still have fun with it never the less.

At least wait until they patch the save corruption issue. It'll save you a lot of grief.

Grief I've never experienced (knowingly?), but my Xbox360 is 'fairly' new (IE - two years? Falcon model I think) and I've yet to encounter most of the problems that I hear people getting into in general. I'm starting to wonder if I'm just lucky or if, by some chance miracle, Microsoft has actually started to fix their shit in earnest. I did, however, lose a save file in Fallout 3 the other day. Not sure how the f*&$ that happened.

I've had super fun with Dragon Age, I will point out. Darkspawn Chronicles, Return to Ostagar and Leliana's Song aren't worth your cash unless you're really digging the game (which I did, and I enjoyed these things - but if you find DA blaise then skip them). Get The Stone Prisoner DLC immediately. It includes the best character with the most interesting background in the entire game. Awakening is sick and playable in its' own right. Warden's Keep is also a keeper, if only for the convenience of having somewhere to keep all of your god damn stuff. If that's not a big deal for you I'd hit up the Golems of Amgarrak before WK. It's certainly more compelling and actually had me thinking for a hot minute or two.

The corruption and glitches were software related and not hardware. Supposedly they did finally patch it but never made an announcement that their broken patch was fixed and usable again, or at least that's what folks are assuming right now since there hasn't been any official confirmation. GG Bioware.

You are all wrong I put in about over 19 hours into this game so far and have no intent on taking a break until fallout NV comes out
