Alright. This I can possibly get behind. I just hope it's like... a war, and less obvious than Capture the Flag or King of the Hill.

I have to say, I'm not worried at all. It looks like a lot of fun and being able to play as different races and having different equipment and abilities specific to each race and class sounds awesome. Can't wait.

Well I kind see the point. You strip the story out and the shooter combat is very run of the mill. But it didn't seem like he was really working as a team and just kind of doing his own thing.

I could see you all rolling different classes and combine powers such as using lift on a group and then lighting them up with gunfire. With the way the enemies have armor/sheilds/barriers, you might need the right mix of powers and ammo types to stand a chance in the later rounds.

I'm going to try it out in the Beta, so I will reserve judgement till I get my hands on it and we go a couple rounds. ME3 is going to be amazing either way so it isn't going to make or break the game for anyone.

You can't play as a Quarian in co-op? THIS IS A BROKEN GAME!

haha, honestly though, I understand not having female options for most races, since you usually only see males, but to not allow Quarians just seems to be a horrible idea considering the hard-on the community has for Tali.

What about Reegar? He better make a return in ME3.

It makes sense to not have Quarians since you rarely see them outside of the fleet. I remember how hard it was to find decent Quaraian armor in the first game. Most other races still resent them so I doubt they were called for a multi race alliance. Even if they did I have a feeling that Quarians are too busy trying to retake their homeworld or finding a new home (likely a major plotpoint.)

Bioware accidentally released the beta for ME3. It looks pretty rough at some parts, but when it's all done, it should be amazing!

I shouldn't have to warn you guys about this but, yes this contains spoilers. If you watch this without beating ME1 or ME2, your either an idiot or don't care.

Story Mode, Action Mode, and RPG Mode seem interesting. Seems too little too late though IMHO. They should remake ME1 with this "style" and ME2 with this style. Sure it'd be a ton of work but I'd love to basically see:

ME2 & ME3 that play more like ME1's combat system, and then all the games using an ME2 type combat system. With the option to choose which you want to use. Sort of like how Final Fantasy had "Wait" vs. "Active" for their battle systems.

Link, did you watch the beta?

There were many hilarious bugs in it and it's far from being done, but just thinking of how it would all look when it's complete, makes me a happy man.

Avoiding as many spoilers as possible this time. So, aside from basic gameplay things I'm distancing myself from all story and screenshot stuff beyond the initial teaser trailer.

So I guess you didn't read the entire script for the game that someone released on Reddit like I did haha....

I'm bad at doing that, I always get too excited and end up wanting to know spoilers for something.

Well I read over the script and don't worry I won't say anything, other than that there is some major shit hitting the fan in Mass Effect 3, as in you have to make some really hard choices in this one.

Just completed a fresh run through of ME1 and ME2 in preparation for getting familiar with alll the decisions I could make leading into 3, I'm probably going to do more playthoughs changing the bigger decisions,
Spoiler
eg romance with ash/liara or miranda/tali/jack, keeping collector base, killing wrex/ash/kaiden or one of the most important, punching the damn reporter in the face in both games
to see how different it really makes ME3, what are some of the key decisions you make in you guys make in your playthroughs?

Well, those are pretty much all the key decisions, also the whole thing with the Rachni (seriously if I'm spoiling shit at this point in ME1...) I'm curious to see how my Wife's story turns out, as she dumped Kaiden in ME2 for Thane, because Kaiden was a big tool baby, so I'm curious to see his reaction to this in ME3. Like, if the game is smart enough to see a past romantic relationship get broken off. I'd assume so, if only because NONE of your ME1 romance options could REALLY be romanced in ME2, so I suspect a ton of people broke up with their old life partners.

I think I'll do a quick run through of ME2 again to try and kill off as many characters as I can.

I have a planned game with "racist Shepard" where I'm going to kill off as many aliens as possible and hook up with xenophobic Ashley. I imagine tweaking the Suicide Mission JUST right will be extremely interesting.

Well with Lair of the Shadow Broker you can reaffirm your commitment to Liara and Shepard's relationship, with the 'epilogue' aboard the Normandy a really nice touch, I have yet to play through it with my Shepard that is with Ashley and not Liara in ME2, but it's strongly hinted if you are with Liara that Shepard and Liara 'embrace' even though we all know ME2 toned down the sex scenes rather drastically compared to ME1

And hopefully ME3 rectifies that, which from what I've heard, they have
