Just have both controllers on and hit the right bumper on the main menu to go to two players. The option is there. If you keep hitting the right bumper you can access 3 players and 4 players, but they obviously don't have a ladder option.

Yep, just like in the original games. Bosses are always cheap in MK games so you need to be cheap back.

She kind of looks cool, despite being entirely naked and generic looking at times. Concept wise it's neat.

I don't think Netherrealm will rest until they make a female fighter who's costume is nothing but shoelaces tying everything together. Or like a belt or something.

I've never been a fan of them progressively removing clothing. I think MK3 was about the limit. Past that there isn't even support.
It's always bothered me that the female characters in MK games aren't unique at all, just skimpy big titty versions of male characters. Male characters get some well thought out unique designs and backgrounds, but their female characters don't. Sonya their most unique female character now goes to work wearing this:

Image

She's wearing that in the story while she was working hunting down Kano and got dragged into the tournament. Look, it's got the badge and everything. I'm sure it's United States Female Special Ops specific uniforming. Johnny Cage has a tux with the bow-tie undone, so it's not that they couldn't make a unique costume for that part of the campaign.

Anyway, I love these games, but that's something that's always bothered me.

It's hard to think of ANY female characters in a fighting game that aren't sexualized.

This.

Tekken manages to be a bit more subtle here, unless it's Nina and Anna. They're the fanservice girls, tons of innuendo in cutscenes with them.

Soul Calibur has a damn boob chart, so that series might be worse than MK about it.

Street Fighter usually lets the fans handle the fanservice in my experience, just lay the groundwork.

KoF has Mai. Nuff said.

BlazBlue and Guilty Gear have a few fetish things going on.

I tend to not to really care about what the females are wearing in the game usually because I'm to busy playing the game.

So I put 1600 MS points on my account today. Depending on who the 4th mystery character is I may download him/her as well as the other three (Skarlet, Kenshi and Rain might be fun) but if it turns out to be a shit character, like Bo Rai Cho or something I might just get the costume pack and call it a day.

Place bets on who it might be.

Somebody on the MK group on Livejournal thinks it might be Hornbuckle, if it is then I'd bow to Neatherrealm for that.
