If you're not in the know. Geek-U is the new home, or will be the new home, of the Yamagato Podcast & Webcomic, as well as some shows and articles from folks like Mr. Black, Kaiserhawk, Buddybaker & Ms. Cupcakes.

Ok. So, the site isn't ready yet. But it's either going to be ready this week or next week.

That being said. I'm looking for input. So, I'm just going to post this link here.

http://www.geek-u.net/index.php/2012/12 ... 2012/#more

Some things to keep in mind, on the main page. The "Feature" section and the "Latest Webcomics" section aren't filled to capacity yet as of posting this. Which might be why they look empty and/or out of place.

Some sections up top don't have any info in them yet. They will, never fear. Like I said, I'm mostly sharing this with you guys for feedback on the design, which really won't be changing, but it'd be nice to know what you think what works and what doesn't, aesthetically and navigationally.

I like it, it's clean and very tidy, simplistic without being bare. The color scheme is easy on the eyes, which is nice for an old man like me. When you click on articles, will it be a summary page with links to the articles themselves or will it just have the full articles, posted in order? It looks like as it sits now, there will be a summary of the article that you can click on to read the whole thing which is what I think works the best.

Look forward to seeing more, good work. Cool logo too!

Yep, giant list of articles with summaries/blurbs, eventually with pages to click through, in the order they're posted.

Trying to figure out what looks best on the main page for the Webcomic, the little gallery, or using the "Featured Articles" section and permanently hosting a link to the Latest Comic there.

So far, I feel that the layout is very simplistic, tidy, and clean and I don't mean that in a bad way. It's very easy to navigate through and that's always a plus. To me, it's a very good foundation for what should be the finished site. I enjoyed the Rulk webcomic for two reasons 1.) personal bias, I was a fan of the Hulk when I was a kid and 2.) it was funny, period.

Obviously, there's not alot of content and I did expect that. But from what I've seen so far, there's a lot of pontential for high-quality content about all things geek, whether it be comics, games, TV shows, Star Wars/Trek, etc.

Anyways, I like what I see and I can't wait to see what it looks like in the end. Keep up the good work, guys.
