Wow, this video brought all kinds of PS3 dick sucking fanboys out of the woodworks. I really love how you can look at a collection of text written by someone and tell a great deal about their personal life. Well I can do it to. Judging from everything you have written, I came up with the following things about you:

- You have AIDS

- You were (are?) socially awkward in high school

In this whole thread I never did anything that WXYZ or Puddle Jumper or Nosebleed didn't do (unless you consider having a difference of opinion) and I'm getting accused of being over zealous and not having good arguments. It's a nice strategy, but it's not helping your side of the argument if all you can do is try to make me personally look bad rather than intelligently arguing what I have to say. So again, I'm open to level headed discussion of anyone wants to jump in.

No Hitler metaphors, no silly virgin accusations and no shift in focus from the actual argument to bitching about how we're arguing. Just plain old level headed discussion. I'll prove that I have what it takes to come up with some good arguments if you can prove you have what it takes to not be a raging hypocrite / irate fan boy.

- Nosebleed, you're always walking a fine line between saying something to get banned and saying something that makes 100% perfect sense. I agree with Andy's sentiments, don't become an OtakuDad, and what I mean by that is simply to keep all personal insults and forum vigilante flaming justice to yourself and make the valid point you're trying to make. The main topic, having not watched the video since I'm at work, but having read a majority of the posts written my beliefs are pretty simple:

* Sony Fans are resilient as hell. They just won't admit defeat or fault. It's impressive and sad.

* I think Playstation Plus members should be given refunds if they haven't already. I think everyone should also be given a Playstation Plus membership for whatever length of time PSN continues to remain down, or at least like a 10 or 20 dollar credit on the PSN store. Some small something or other would be nice, but not necessary.

* Nobody should really be owed anything, except perhaps for people who are paying subscription fees and other shit and aren't able to use their stuff. I know Microsoft gives out free x-box live or other shit anytime their service is down for an extended period of time.

* I'm not sure who to believe anymore about security situations, there are too many rumors being toted as facts. If Sony had shit security, it's their fault. If they got hacked just 'cuz, well... fuck it, not their fault then, shit happens.

I'm just going to paste what I put on the YouTube comments.

I will keep my thoughts short and to the point. Sony should've had a better security settings(UPDATE: Sony's security software was up to date and not outdated as thought) but hackers are damn good. This only proves that nothing is hack proof. It seems to me people are jumping on the "Sony suxs" bandwagon instead. Heck, Amazon and I-Tunes are now updating their security. For me I'm still playing my PS3 since I have alot of single player games. Note: I own all three systems.

UPDATE: I have bought Virtual Tennis 4 and WWE All*Stars (PS3 version). Interesting to note that the PS3 can still recieve patch updates for games.

Side note: I'd just like to point out, in general, if someone says something is bug-proof or hack-proof, they're full of shit. The systems are far too complicated for anyone to make those kinds of statements.

And Sony is doing the same thing Xbox does. They are giving out a free month of PsPlus in an addition to free days equal to the amount of days the PSN was down. They are also giving out free downloads on some games. Also if you wish to seek it, you can apply for a free ID Protection or whatever it was. I know some people say this is not enough, but lots better than doing nothing

The whole hacking and losing your info and jeopardizing your identity is pretty crazy shit, but I don't think there's any way to make that right outside of taking them to court over it all.

I know that. My point was that at least they try to do something other than completely shafting everyone by giving them some lame minigame download or something. And I have a feeling Sony is going to try and use E3 to grease the gears here. I expect to see things now they didn't even want mentioned because of this whole fiasco.

While Sony can never probably make up for this fail, its best that they try to do something. I don't think this can be made right really, but at the very least something is trying to be done. Some people want blood, others just want the PSN back and push this behind them. Can't please everyone, but hey, that is life.

All in all, Sony did have lack lust security set up, but hell it could have happened anywhere else. Not saying at all Sony is aquitted of shitty security but the Pentagon has been hacked before and you would think they have the best security available. Anything can happen anywhere at any time and it is this thought why I did not go on a rampage seeking blood and lost sight of reason and spouted opinions as they were fact.

I love my PS3, 360, and Wii. I wouldn't treat them any different. If similar happened to the others, I would still not go out and boycott the system or sell it out of a fit or rage. I know I would just regret it down the line eventually haha
