Just picked up OoT 3DS, looking forward to playing it again since I haven't really played through it since 1998. I did try to get back into 2 or 3 times since then but never made it very far. Looking forward to giving the master quest a whirl too.

Anyways I saw that Link's Awakening is on the eshop, not my fav zelda title. Four Swords is getting a free download so that is pretty cool. I guess the big question mark is Skyward Sword since it seems set to be the Wii's swansong. Will it be worth holding onto your wii for one final game? I dunno.

Are you going to get any real money for trading in a Wii? Maybe selling it on eBay before Wii U is out.

I don't understand the concept of ditching your consoles in general, to be honest. Even if the new ones are backwards compatible.

Instead of leaving it out to collect dust or putting it in storage? If it really is worthless I could always just give it to my cousin's kids, the only thing they have to play video games is a PS2 so at least it's a step up.

What is coming out the rest of the year for Wii other than Zelda? Couple JRPGs that Nintendo of America has shown only lukewarm interest in bringing over. PS2 is still getting new titles 10 years later and Nintendo is throwing the Wii under the bus in less than 5.

Well, if you don't have a Gamecube you have that going for you now, since Wii U won't support those games/controllers. Plus, you'd lose all your Smash Brothers Brawl data since you can't transfer that off the console! :o

I have yet to find something that isn't worth holding on to my "wii" :teehee:

Get it? Get it? *wink* *wink* *nudge* *nudge*

I crack me up... yenywho, I wonder if Oracle of Seasons and Ages will be on the eshop. Those are both really underrated titles in their own right and are actually some of my fondest handheld memories. Link's Awakening is so worth it, though. I wonder if it's the DX version with the extra dungeon.

Bet you Gamecube titles will be available for download on the Wii^U's VC. How many people are going to buy a Wii^U just for a chance to buy Melee again?

Unsure about Seasons and Ages since they were developed by Capcom, but if Nintendo has the all clear I imagine they will get to them sooner or later.

And yes it is the DX version of Link's Awakening.

Perhaps they will Fox, but unless they make a different classic controller it doesn't look like you can use GCN controllers.

So what? The Wii U controller has all the inputs the GCN controller had and there's less discrepancy between GCN and Wii U than there was between N64 and Wii-C and that didn't stop them from releasing N64 games.

It would be ridiculously cool, though, if someone made a Wii/Wii U BT adapter for Nintendo's old consoles.

But can't you only have one Wii-U controller per console? What about when playing with friends? I don't know many people who played SSBB with Wii controllers or even Classic Controllers.

Well, from recent statements it sounds more like it's a cost issue than a technical issue (which is actually freaking awesome).

So, if it is ... I would imagine even if the Wii U only supports 1-2 Wii U controllers at launch ... it could support more later.

Other than that ... the Classic Controller Pro has about the same layout as the Wii U controller sans touch screen. (i.e. stacked shoulder buttons, rather than side by side ... which never made any damn sense) The only downside is, the classic controller pro ditches the analog shoulder buttons. I do hope the lower set of shoulder buttons on the Wii U controller turn out to be analog (maybe akin to the GCN's analog which was very nice)

Try playing Brawl with the Classic Controller Pro and see if it's REALLY so blasphemous (it's not)
