Every forum needs a topic on the greatest movie of all time so here it is! Share your favourite movies, moments, quotes, characters and what ever else here :-D I know of a few people who will definately post here ;-)

I never get tired of Clerks, seriously I've lost count of the number of times I've watched it. There's so many quotable lines and so many great characters. Randal is my favourite character, I just love his reactons to the various customers (in fact I wish I could act like that at my own job).

The best quote/moment in my opinion is this (it's long)

Dante Hicks: You know what the real tragedy about all this is? I'm not even supposed to be here today!
Randal Graves: Oh, fuck you! Fuck you, pal! Jesus, there you go trying to pass the buck. I'm the source of all your misery. Who closed the store to play hockey? Who closed the store to go to a wake? Who tried to win back his ex girlfriend without even discussing how he felt with his present one? You wanna blame somebody? Blame yourself. "I'm not even supposed to be here today."
[throws stuff at Dante]
Randal Graves: You sound like an asshole! Jesus, nobody twisted your arm to be here. You're here of your own volition. You like to think the weight of the world rests on your shoulder. Like this place would fall apart if Dante wasn't here. Jesus, you overcompensate for having what's basically a monkey's job. You push fucking buttons. Anybody can just waltz in here and do our jobs. You-You're so obsessed with making it seem so much more epic, so much more important than it really is. Christ, you work in a convenience store, Dante! And badly, I might add! I work in a shitty video store, badly as well. You know, that guy Jay's got it right, man. He has no delusions about what he does. Us, we like to make ourselves seem so much more important than the people that come in here to buy a paper, or, god forbid, cigarettes. We look down on them as if we're so advanced. Well, if we're so fucking advanced, what are we doing working here?
XD

*Goes to watch Clerks again*

After being turned towards it, I find this to be the greatest movie ever (At least, I think it surprasses Pulp Fiction now as my favourite movie ever) however, you should have made a thread to enclose the entire View Askewniverse and additional Kevin Smith content :D

My favourite quote might just be:

Dante: My girlfriend's sucked 37 dicks!
Customer: In a row?

Genius :P

This movie makes me jealous that my friend works in a corner shop :P

My favourite character has to also be Randal, I would say Silent Bob but I like him when he's more prominent like in the other movies, however I do love when he starts dancing :P

You know what?

*Stops Daredevil DVD, ejects it and sticks in his Clerks X DVD*

Kevin Smith's New Jersey movie series are great: Clerks I and II, Mallrats, Chasing Amy, and you could probably throw Jay and Silent Bob strike back as well as Dogma in to the mix. The movies are so down to earth and make real life situation extremely funny.

While Clerks is not my favorite movie of all time, it is absolutely up there. I love that Kevin Smith is a complete nerd and adds a bunch of comic book and sci-fi jokes into his movies. Stan Lee was in Mallrats! Many Starwars and Lord of the Rings references, the movies just crack me up! XD

It's Chasing Amy :P

And I love performing Randal's Lord Of The Rings rant from Clerks II at sixth form :D

Yeah I know, nothing like a good typo. At the time I was think of the movies Chasing Amy, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, and Saving Silverman as I typed it in. I guess for some odd reason I typed in Kissing

As for the Lord of the Rings part, that part is just freakin hilarious. Randal's immaturity goes to a whole nother level.

Randal Graves: And what's with that gay fucking look, I thought Sam was going to saunter over Frodo and suck his fucking cock. Now that would have been an Academy Award worthy ending.
Hobbit Lover: Hey 'very nice gay man', they're not gay! They're hobbits!
Randal Graves: And then after the Frodo and Sam suckfest, just before the credits roll, Sam straight up fucking bricks in Frodo's mouth.

I freaking love the intro to Chasing Amy with that and the Star Wars is racist stuff :D Second best beginning to a Kevin Smith movie behind Jay and Silent Bob Strikes Back

Whoo I watched Clerks 3 times today, once normal, once with the commentary and once with the on screen trivia :D Now I'm watching Jay and Silent Bob Strikes Back :P

EDIT: The first few minutes of Jay and Silent Bob Strikes Back are freaking epic by the way :P http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ON0iqz4e ... re=related

Now that's dedication

With regards to the cartoon. I always found it too zany for Clerks. I know it's a cartoon but it just didn't feel like Clerks to me :-(

I know what you mean. It's kind of like the boondocks. Thought the comics came first, the cartoon show is completely different and better in my opinion.

I wish there was an actual bluntman and chronic comic, unless there is....no there isn't :-(
