What it is
Jericho is a first person shooter that has been designed with themes and characters by Clive Barker. Set with an paranormal group of people employed by the government to fight in secret against demonic creatures. This team is called Jericho and they have been called in to check out a paranormal sand storm in the middle of the desert. They soon discover it's a gateway to another world where the evil first born (gods creation that he locked up because he was too powerful) is trying to escape to reek havoc upon the world. You play the role of one of the Jericho who dies close to the begging to the game and then spend the rest of the game jumping from character to character using there own special ability's himself.

Presentation
On the whole of the game it is very dark and you'll be using your flash light a lot to see what is going on. But when the rooms are lit up they are very detailed as well as all the demon creature that you meet along the way. The Animation is fluid and the voice acting is believable enough to draw you in to the storyline. The game is very atmospheric and sometimes quite disturbing with most of the characters being deformed or spewing lots of blood, you can often time loose yourself in the game.

Gameplay
The game plays like you would expect a first person shooter to play but Clive Barkers Jericho has a few twists to keep the game feeling unique. First of all is the fact that you can control everyone of your Jericho squad jumping to them Battlefield 2 style. So you point to who you what to control and then press the X button to then the camera jumps to them and now you are controlling the member. You also jump if you die and this leads to a problem that when someone is on the verge of death you have to go and revive them, but your computer controlled allies seem to like running into a enemy that explodes when it gets close to you, so you'll be spending a lot of the time going to round up the team too often. Each Jericho Member has two guns and two unique ability's that the game will often require you to switch to specific members on the squad to progress through the game. This can be a lot of fun and can be used against the demons in the world. Problem is a lot of the time it's easier to just use your normal weapons and you end up using the special powers a lot less. The game also uses quick time events on occasion which is a good thing depending on your views on if quick time events are a good game play mechanic. Personally I think it is and keeps the action up close and personal. The Boss Battles are fun without being too easy or too challenging and a lot of the time it's obvious what to do.

Conclusion
The game is a lot of fun to play with certain attributes to separate it from the busy FPS genre. The story is engaging the games looks nice when it's not too dark to see. With a few needless game play mechanics and often times dumb AI from your team mates. The game is fun enough to play all the way through.

It's short and straight to the point. Aside from a few spelling and grammar errors I'd say it's a pretty good first review.

I like that its not bullshit and tell things as it is; it lacks a little substance, and proof read its your article's best friend.
