I know I know, this is an older game, but I just got it and so...........ya

This game is simply amazing in every way, its better than Fallout 3 IMO, it just.............wow, its epic

You are a mercenary in a fictitious country in Africa which is in the midst of a bloody civil war. You are on the hunt for Jackal, an arms dealer and ruthless killer. Your orders are simple, find him and kill him, do this no matter what you have to do or who you have to kill, just get him as soon as possible

This is an amazing FPS/free roaming crossover. The gunfights are the most realistic I've seen, However, this may be a turn off to some. If you have say a rusty old shotgun, it jams, misfires, and sometimes craps out on you all together, making it imperitive to buy new guns and not just rely on picking up your fallen enemy's gun. You can also drive in this game, the first person view may take adjusting to but youll get it

all in all, wow, this is just..........wow

9.4/10

I agree with everything but it being better than Fallout 3, Far Cry 2 is an amazing game one of my favorite ever but I prefer Fallout 3 more since I love RPG's over FPS, good review mate.

Another reason I love the game is it was released on my birthday! :-D

I disagree, far cry 2 could of been great. almost everything about the game was perfect,, graphics,,, story atmosphere etc... But to me personally it fell short because:

>It takes like half a magazine to kill an enemy at times. feels like im shooting at terminators on occasions.

>repetitive missions.

>i was a sniper on a hill once in the bushes and shot a guy in the head,,,,,, then they came with there jeep strait at me :( of course they heard where the shot came from, but not to the exact point i was laying, oh my god.

But admittedly though the map maker and multi-player took the edge of, so it is still a good buy.

I'm having a problem getting into Far Cry 2. It's a good game, don't get me wrong but the whole malaria thing really annoys me. That being said, for myself I think Fallout 3 was way superior. I can't think of too many games that can still hold my interest a year after their release. I have played Fallout to death and still am going back for more. Far Cry... I just can't get into for some reason.
