Enjoy!

I made it because of the new PoP game. Wanted to dig in to the past a bit :)

Good summary. Unfortunately I haven't played Sands of Time but I did play Warrior Within and I thought it was good. I liked the animation, the character moved pretty smoothly.

Anyways even if I haven't played Sands of Time, I think you may have been a bit harsh on it. Even the old Prince of Persia on the NES was pretty hard (or same game on other console, I played the NES version so whatever). If you didn't time your jumps PERFECTLY, you fell to your death. You died constantly in the game. Even the enemies were quite hard to fight (especially near the end). Killing one was ok but a few in a row usually resulted in death, death and more death for me.

Again I haven't played Sands of Time but based on the other Prince of Persia games I've played, it doesn't seem very different. Same old game where you constantly get mercilessly impaled by spikes and slashed in half by enemies or traps. You just have to be patient (and/or be a Prince of Persia pro).

I just finished playing the Sands of Time and I liked it. I still think you're being a bit harsh on it. I'm not here to brag but I didn't find the game very challenging. It wasn't easy but I had a harder time figuring out where to go than timing my jumps and such. The combat scenes were probably the hardest but overall the game is VERY merciful. Even if you don't save, you can always retry very close to where you died which is nice in my opinion.

Near the end, my strategy to defeat hordes of enemies is to run to the nearest drinking fountain (when available) and drink up when I'm low on health. Even if they hit me, I'm still in better condition after than before drinking.

By the way I've never purposely used sand to slow down time. It was useless to me. The last boss is ridiculously easy too. I'm still wondering whether or not there was something more to it that I didn't notice and luckily avoided the entire fight. Block, Slash, repeat, done.

Anyways time to buy and play The Two Thrones!

I meant The Two Thrones is next for me XD . I already played Warrior Within. One thing I didn't like so much about WW was the heavy music. I had to play on mute because my nephew was always around and I didn't want him to be exposed to Godsmack and such... Sands of Time nice music overall (with its Persian influence and what not) but borderline music for battles.

I liked Sands of Time better. Less stressful when NOT being chased by a demon. Gah!
