Figures, I get back into the swing of things after getting half my life in order and TGH is retiring? Well that was stupid. Shoulda checked in more. Let's see, how was my 2012. Had to sort out a personal issue that was throwing a huge monkey wrench into the first few months. Then I got food poisonin...

...Cuz I'm getting rid of all of mine, and I wonder if anyone bothers to collect it. If not, it's getting recycled.

New update. Yeah so it looks like I got something that ROYALLY wrecked my stomach and such so bad I have to be on a diet of bland food and probiotics for 6 more weeks. Whatever it was has left me with more temporary food intolerance of various stripes and more tests. I may have a previously undiagno...

I wish I could accept this, but you need to re-read Lucrious's post.

THREE FOR THREE of his "sure bets" died. I doubt with 2 days left in the year, I can beat that.

Well there is good news and such. The guy was amazing, called for a battery of tests... Including parasite testing. Which, is something I hope they never change in medicine, because if I had to go through it, everyone else should... because, fuck the future! After this, I'm going to get my joint iss...

You know, there may be a way you guys can help. If you guys have weird props and costumes, or miniature furniture like dollhouse type stuff. Also, if you could break out a camera and take a picture of a beautiful background that seems amazing or otherworldy, or just plain cool. Also, not going to sa...

Ok, when the fuck did this happen. When did the number of tests and exams DECREASE, and the number of referrals INCREASE? Like, what if ANY job does a primary care doctor do anymore? Then if you aren't flat out dying, no matter what the doctor, you just suck it up and do some half-hearted treatment,...

I just saw a "let's play" that showed me two secret passageways in the marble zone I had no idea existed. By the way, we're not talking the "alternate routes" and the hidden room that is after the two lavaspouts.

Mind = blown.

Considering my problem seems to be related to the optical drive, and not the system itself (everything else runs fine)

I may just buy a PS2 after fixing the slimline. The fat one's been sitting on my workbench for a year, and stuff keeps getting in the way.

That was the fat one. Slimline I bought used and coddled like a useless LA socialite's chihuahua. I was going to fix this and my other fat one, sell them to a local shop, and use the money to finance a 270 dollar 60 gb used ps3 system. Though I heard that the 60gb model has a high failure rate, not ...

Only way I can get this system to read discs is by putting a little bit of weight above the cover to the optical drive.

As in:

Snap it closed
Put about three n64 cartridges on top of it
Discs can be read.

Any clues on what I need to fix this?

Dude, I'm sure anyone here willing to buy them for you + shipping. Though that may be sketchy. Have you thought of setting up a PO BOx in Ogdensburg, NY? I doubt having an in-store delivery would work, the closest US Best Buy is in Watertown, and that's disgustingly out of the way. I'd wait until th...

Ok, now that we got that out of the the way... Let me throw in some more background. If the seven deadly sins were accurate, I'd say in my use, I was a man of wrath. I broke my original PS1. and PS2 with my elbow. My own damn fault. I got a used ps2 on the cheap, and now it's starting to break down ...

Crono, think of it like this. The vast majority of people do not like monkeying around with any piece of technology. I can count on one hand the number of people who fix, and maintain their own stuff. It can be cars, electronics, or the set top box given to them by the cable company. They want all ...
