I'm still playing Dragon Warrior for the NES. I'm collecting items like Erdrick's Armor and Erdrick's Token. You have to be getting to the end. It drags a little around that part, but the end is in sight! It just has to be! I beat Battletoads & Double Dragon on the Sega Genesis this evening. Th...

Yep, it is official. I am getting promoted! Been working on a slow evolution of my current job for about six years now. Started off simple, but has moved onto more complex workings. Now, I am taking the next logical step up in my department and moving into a more serious position with a limited amou...

Ugh, what horrible teams we have left in these playoffs. Repeats and a bunch of retreads of really annoying teams.

The only team that I have any interest in winning is the Penguins. I absolutely despise the Kings, Blackhawks and Bruins.

So, Go Crosby as the Penguins are now my rooting favorite.

I beat TMNT III: The Manhattan Project on the NES this evening. Overall, the game is a bit overlooked and I don't think people enjoy it as much as II and IV, but III plays so much better than II. II might be more iconic, but III is much smoother and not as unfair as II. Also, the differences in the...

I always like to play final fantasy games in the summer, I have fond memories of spending an entire summer break from school playing FF4 , and another playing FF VI, I guess this is another series which left a bad taste in my mouth after its last few installments too heh. I remember playing FFIV fo...

This topic needs it's own topic, it's really interesting. Sooo very true. I never really thought about it until now, but there are some games that I enjoy more in different seasons. Final Fantasy X is a perfect summer game for me because of the atmosphere and the memories attuned to that game. I be...

I would also add Retro gaming as a winner too. This Guy! I've heard a ton of people want to go back and enjoy their older games. Plus, the prices of the Retro Market has slowly been rising along with the boomerangs of the SNES and eventually the N64/PS1 generations come into the markets ...

I want to be positive and try to imagine all the possibilities that can happen. And considering the dire straits the gaming industry has been in for a long time, I don't want to go all doom and gloom. But, my gawd! These new consoles look absolutely horrible!! I am just glad that I am not even close...

:-D well I enjoyed Dragon Quest 8, and I have copies of 4, 5, 6, and 9 for my DS. So I wanted to go back to the game that started it all. I don't mind the level grinding due to my experiences with FF series, but the first DW is challenge even for me. It Gets Better! But, playing DW1 is a necessity....

Playing Dragon Warrior on the NES. It's not a bad game, but it's definitely a grinder. Welcome To Dragon Warrior! :-D The first Dragon Warrior is a bit of a pain, but it is also the first console RPG. If you can remember that, then the game is much more enjoyable. It's like watching a new genre bei...

The conversation above is the main reason why I stopped going to forums based on video games(obviously excluding this one). The amount of childishness and negativity that gamers bring upon themselves is really depressing after a while. There is so much hatred and needless nitpicking that goes on abo...

and I have a new baby girl coming in August. Handsome Tom surrounds himself with lovely ladies. That seems fitting. :teehee: I just hope he comes back for the right reasons. Running a website and creating content takes a ton of blood, sweat and tears. If Tom's heart and soul is not into it, then it...

You talk about teams being given their dues and you don't mention Ottawa??? I feel greatly insulted. Yeah, I always forget about Ottawa though you guys did loose to the Ducks in the finals a few years back. But, I do feel bad for Ottawa considering the other Canadian powerhouses and how many Cup wi...

I'm going for the final will be the Hawks vs the Pens.... you know the matchup that everyone's predicting. I want the Hawks to win, but I've just got this feeling about the Penguins... I think it might be high time for Iggy to get his cup. I think it's possible for the Hawks to be in the Finals, bu...

I am going to try and do this chronologically... 1. There are several stories of me as a very young child when I would spend my afternoons watching Sesame Street and then playing the Atari 2600. I remember playing Pitfall and other games for hours on end. 2. Playing Super Mario Brothers 3 for the fi...

I've seen a bunch of Atari 2600 Games that are less than a Dollar. Also, some early Madden games are around that price as well. I was talking to a Retro Game Store Owner as I was commenting his overflow of games. And he told me that if a game can't sell for $1.00 or even .50, then it cannot sell for...
